Frequently asked questions

Q: How big are the cards?

A: They are all 5X7 inches and come with a matching A7 size envelope (5.25 X 7.25 inches).

Q: Are the cards and envelopes made of recycled paper?

A: Yes, they are made from acid-free 30% PCW Forest Management Certified fine Canadian card stock and paper.

Q: Will the colours fade if I frame the photos?

A: Pictoria cards are not ordinary lithographed greeting cards but are made from real photographic prints of archival quality, carefully hand-mounted with special buffered adhesive to last for decades. We have reports that a great many of them are framed and hung (and collected)!

Q: How do you ship and how much is shipping?

A: We package the cards in a hard stay-flat envelope and charge only $6 to mail anywhere in Canada and $12 Cdn to anywhere in the U.S. Overseas lettermail rates will be calculated on check-out.

Q: Why can I buy only up to 18 cards and envelopes at a time?

A: 18 cards and envelopes in a stay-flat envelope is the maximum thickness and weight that can be shipped inexpensively by Canada Post lettermail. Need more than 18 cards? Please visit our wholesale site.

Q: I want to use your cards for my wedding invitations, do you have large quantity discounts?

A: Yes you may order 25 cards or more at wholesale prices at www.pictoria.cards where there are hundreds more great images to choose from.

Q: I bought a card last year and I'd like to buy it again, but I do not see it in the collections here. Is it possible to buy that image again or browse through your past collections?

A: Except for the 50 images you see on this website, which are the 38 images in our most recent seasonal collections plus 12 of our all-time best-sellers, our cards are made to order. Old images are always available at our wholesale site, subject to minimum order amounts of 5 cards per image and 25 cards per order.

Q: Is it possible to have you put a greeting of my choice inside the cards?

A: The insertion of a custom greeting is a service we provide very inexpensively at our wholesale site Pictoria.cards.
